V_Shaft Nami are something else in the progressive metal genre. Sound-wise This is not the same band from "Fragile Alignments". Nami have evolved, blending more genres together into something that is grand and epic. This is one of the albums I recommend to everyone with whom I share musical compatibility. It's that good! Favorite track: Silent Mouth.
King Jonas the Humble

King Jonas the Humble Epic, soaring and slightly pretentious. This isn't criticism: If the name isn't obvious, the exquisitely sculpted tracks reveal we are dealing with future masters at their craft.
This is progressive death metal at its finest. NAMI shatters my preconceptions and seamlessly blends brass into their melodic narrative making it sound even more sinister.
Loosely comparable to early Opeth, the Faceless and Mastodon. But this is unfair since NAMI has a rare, unique sound. Five pretentious bitch-slaps. Favorite track: Hunter's Dormancy.

about

Following their critically acclaimed 2011 debut “Fragile Alighnments,” Nami return with their sophomore album “The Eternal Light Of The Unconscious Mind.” Reuniting with famed producer Jens Bögren (Opeth, Soilwork, Amon Amarth), this quintet from Andorra have carved out an evolutionary piece of progressive metal. Over the album’s nine tracks, Nami displays their uncanny ability to split apart metal’s common elements and reassemble them into a new creation. Featuring guest performances from Loïc Rossetti (The Ocean) and Carlos Lozano and Marc Martins (Persefone), Nami have produced their finest work to date.

FOR FANS OF: Gojira, Opeth, Isis, Tool, In Flames and Mastodon.
